VIQU Invests In Consult Energy

I am thrilled to announce VIQU’s recent investment in fellow Birmingham recruitment company, Consult Energy.

Over the past year, the VIQU board and I have been actively looking for investment opportunities in other exciting sectors with extensive scope for growth, and Consult Energy fits this perfectly.

With a 15-year reputation supporting the energy, utilities and renewables sector, the UK arm of Consult Energy will now sit under the VIQU group, positioning both businesses for further future success.

With recent government announcements regarding significant future investment in the UK energy sector, combined with the renewable market being valued at £23 billion in 2023, there will be extensive growth in the sector over the next five years. Consult Energy’s established position in the market complements our strategic growth plans and approach to operating in a sustainable and environmentally friendly manner.

As a business, we are passionate about contributing positively towards the UN’s Sustainable Development Goal – Climate Action. Our recent efforts include a 3 year green pledge, with the end goal of operating as a net zero business producing our own renewable energy. These projects resulted in VIQU being awarded 4.5 out 5 stars by Support the Goals, an initiative that looks to reward businesses for supporting the goals.

As part of this exciting investment, Consult Energy’s team have moved into VIQU’s Birmingham office in leafy Edgbaston. I’m delighted to be working alongside Richard Bartlett, Consult Energy’s original co-founder, who has joined the team as part of the acquisition.

I have always held the Consult Energy brand in high regard and I can’t wait to see how bringing two enthusiastic and dynamic recruitment teams together under one roof, combining knowledge and resources, is going to impact our respective sectors.

I’d like to thank the VIQU board, other senior members of the VIQU team and our external suppliers who have done a tremendous job in ensuring this investment went through smoothly. These include Sid Barnes of Mastermind Consulting and Pippa Miller-Hawkes of BSN Chartered Accounts.

As we navigate this exciting new chapter for both businesses, I would like to reassure VIQU’s network of candidates and clients that this development will have no adverse effect on the way we service them. Our talented team remain 100% focused on delivering the best quality of service, and I expect over time, this investment will be incredibly beneficial to all parties.

“Bringing Consult Energy and VIQU together will create a remarkable synergy and open up exciting opportunities for our colleagues. I’m thrilled to be working with the team at VIQU, and we are enthusiastic about this collaboration, which will enable us to offer even more to our clients.”
