VIQU Announced As British Recruitment Awards 2024 Finalists
We are excited to announce that VIQU has been shortlisted as a finalist for ‘Agency Recruitment Team of the Year (<25 employees)’ at the British Recruitment Awards 2024.
The British Recruitment Awards aim to celebrate the individuals and teams that are building thriving organisations throughout the recruitment industry. This year, over 300 entries were received across a range of categories, including ‘Employer Brand of the Year’, ‘Diversity & Inclusion Initiative of the Year’, and ‘Rising Star of the Year’. These categories seek to recognise recruitment talent across all areas of the industry.
With an increasing number of businesses looking to partner with recruitment agencies that align with their ESG strategies and goals, we are delighted that our green pledge and journey towards sustainability has been recognised by the British Recruitment Awards judging panel. Over three years ago, we identified an emerging trend amongst our clients and customers in pursuing more sustainable measures, resulting in our team investing significant time and resources to plan and then bring our green ideas to fruition.
By aligning our work with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals through the initiative Support the Goals, we made important strides towards our green ambitions. Our aims included achieving Carbon Net Zero by the end of 2022, being Carbon Negative by the end of 2023, and then producing our own renewable energy by the end of 2024.
Through a significant investment in solar panels on top of our Birmingham office’s roof, we achieved our 2024 goal over 12 months ahead of schedule, further proving our commitment to our green journey. In July 2024, our Support the Goals rating was increased to 4.5 out of 5 stars.
We believe this team effort and shared passion deserves acknowledgement, so we are delighted to be shortlisted for the ‘Agency Recruitment Team of the Year (<25 employees)’ category based on our green achievements.
Matt Collingwood, Managing Director of VIQU, commented:
“One of VIQU’s key values is innovation. We have worked hard and made considerable strides towards our goal of becoming one of the most environmentally friendly recruitment agencies in the UK. VIQU’s journey towards sustainability has been far more than a box-ticking exercise, it has been something our team has been passionate about from the start. I am truly honoured that we have been recognised within our award category amongst some truly outstanding recruitment agencies.”
For three years in a row, we have been shortlisted by the British Recruitment Awards for various team and individual awards categories, so we are thoroughly looking forward to the awards ceremony on November 5th to find out the winners!
