Network Engineer

Network Engineer– 6-month contract

As a Network Engineer in our team, you will be primarily responsible for Business as Usual (BAU) support for the customer’s firewalls, enabling other team members to concentrate on large-scale projects. Your day-to-day tasks will involve:

• Managing firewall applications and rules (including changes, updates, and configurations)
• Monitoring and troubleshooting firewall issues
• Ensuring the firewalls are operating effectively and efficiently
• Supporting the wider network team with any firewall-related issues or escalations

Primary day to day responsibilities for the Network Engineer will include:

• Experienced Network Engineer with a focus on firewalls (PA and Fortinet)
• Wider Network appreciation and understanding e.g. Cisco Routing, Switching, LAN/WAN, DHCP/IP, Wi-Fi.
• Managing firewall applications and rules (including changes, updates, and configurations)
• Daily operational support of PA (Palo Alto) and Fortinet Firewalls
• Application and rules management, ensuring firewall policies align with business requirements
• Troubleshooting and resolving network security issues related to firewall configuration
• Collaborating with other network engineers to maintain network security best practices
• Implementing changes and updates while adhering to change management processes
• Assisting in capacity planning and firewall performance optimization
• Experience with firewall configuration, rule sets, and security policies
• Investment management Industry experience is a bonus, but not essential

The Network Engineer is required onsite in London for the duration of the 6-month contract.
