Infrastructure Engineer

Infrastructure Engineer – Contract – Remote

A client is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to provide infrastructure support while managing Server, Storage and cloud issues across the business.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining a Linux server environment, delivering 3rd line support, and handling M365 tasks.

Essential Skills of the Infrastructure Engineer:

• Must have a strong background in Linux server administration and support.
• Must have practical experience managing and maintaining Active Directory.
• Must have good working knowledge of Microsoft 365 technologies and services.
• Experience with cloud platforms; exposure to AWS would be advantageous.
• Knowledge of backup, disaster recovery and data restoration solutions.
• Familiarity with Atlassian tools would be beneficial but is not essential.
• Experience supporting Exchange Online would be an advantage but is not a requirement.

Key Responsibilities of the Infrastructure Engineer:

• Resolve complex 3rd-line infrastructure and server issues.
• Administer Linux servers, Active Directory and Microsoft 365.
• Support cloud platforms, including AWS, and Exchange Online.
• Manage backup, recovery and data restoration.
• Troubleshoot root causes and improve system performance and security.
• Maintain documentation and support infrastructure upgrades.

The successful Infrastructure Engineer will work remotely.
