About BID Services

As a small national charity, at BID Services, we work with children, young people, adults, and their families and carers across England. Our focus is on those who are D/deaf, hard of hearing, sight impaired, severely sight impaired, or have a dual sensory loss. Our evolving services aim to maximise independence, remove barriers, and support informed decision-making. We ensure our clients have access to the right information, advice, support, and activities at the right time, empowering them to lead the lives they choose.

Our work is funded through local authority contracts, grants, donations, legacies, and fundraising activities, along with our social enterprise, The Signing Tree Venue.

The Role of HR & Culture Manager

We are looking for an experienced HR & Culture Manager to lead our Human Resources function. You will work closely with the CEO and senior management team, managing a small team of qualified professionals including the HR Officer, Learning & Development Coordinator, and Wellbeing Champion. Your role will be pivotal in maintaining and developing a positive organisational culture, delivering on strategic priorities and values, and ensuring a high-quality service across our national organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the HR team to deliver a professional, efficient, and compliant service.
  • Develop and implement our People and Culture strategy.
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation, Data Protection
  • Manage formal employee relations issues, workforce planning, TUPE, sickness absence, and onboarding.
  • Develop and implement an HR Integrated System

About You

  • Extensive experience in HR management.
  • Qualified level 7 CIPD professional.
  • In-depth knowledge of employment legislation and Data Protection
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Creativity and efficiency in meeting tight deadlines.
  • Excellent IT skills particularly with Microsoft Office.
