VIQU has partnered with a renowned brand in search of a Head of Cloud Architecture to lead their Centre of Excellence. In this pivotal role, the Head of Cloud Architecture will offer expert technical guidance to shape the strategic direction of the business. The role will involve building and leading a dynamic team of architects, focused on advancing architectural development, enhancing existing capabilities, and driving the integration of automation and AI solutions.

Key Responsibilities of the Head of Cloud Architecture:

• Develop Efficient Cloud Solutions: You will design solutions that will improve performance, reliability, security, and operational efficiency while implementing cost-reduction strategies.
• Define and Implement Cloud Strategy: You will introduce and integrate new technologies and services and collaborate with various teams to design comprehensive cloud architecture and will provide expert guidance on the cloud technology strategy and roadmap, making key technical decisions.
• Develop Reusable Cloud Frameworks: You will create and update frameworks to streamline and modernise applications, and will ensure that frameworks align with governance and adoption standards
• Lead a Team of Architects: You will lead a team of architects to develop resilient cloud solutions, overseeing the system design and ensuring it meets robustness and scalability criteria.
• Guide Development Teams: You will work alongside development teams to provide technical direction and support for cloud-related projects, to ensure designs are aligned to the cloud strategy roadmap
• Mentorship: Mentor and support developers and architects of all levels to improve their skills in cloud architecture and modern technologies. You will also provide internal consulting to ensure that sound architecture practice is adhered to across all technical teams.
• Innovative Technical Insight: You will remain well-informed about cutting-edge technological developments and adapt operational activities based on the latest findings to maintain optimal performance and ensure competitive innovation in your cloud solutions.

Requirements of the Head of Cloud Architecture:

• Expertise in Azure Cloud strategies, architectural design, and implementation.
• Skilled in cloud solutions, including networking, security, compliance, and migration methodologies.
• Proven leader in aligning enterprise-level cloud strategies with IT and business goals.
• Extensive experience with enterprise applications, IT services, and cloud migrations.
• Knowledgeable in cloud design patterns, operational practices, and cost management.
• Capable of proposing and delivering innovative technical solutions and securing client support.
• Strong communicator of complex cloud concepts to diverse audiences.
• Adept at challenging traditional methodologies and driving innovative service delivery.
• Recognized leader in cloud technology with experience in financial decision-making for cloud investments.
• Proven track record in leading cross-functional teams towards successful cloud outcomes.
